Current status of coagulation and dosing system in water plants
Current status of coagulation and dosing system in water plants
In the water treatment process of modern water plants, the coagulation and dosing system is a key link in ensuring water quality, and its operating conditions directly affect the quality and production cost of the effluent. At present, the coagulation and dosing system of water plants shows the following characteristics:
Diverse process types: At present, common processes include traditional manual control dosing, in which operators manually adjust the flow of dosing equipment based on experience and water quality data detected regularly. Although this method is simple and direct, it is difficult to accurately respond to real-time changes in water quality and water volume, and it is easy to cause excessive or insufficient dosing. There are also systems based on single parameters such as flow rate and turbidity for control. They automatically adjust the dosing amount according to the preset parameter values, which is more timely than manual control, but there are still limitations for complex water quality changes. Advanced intelligent dosing systems, such as xiamen Water group, fujian water group,,liaoning water group, hebei water group, unitedwater of indonesia, Mosvodokanal adopt the "feedforward + model + feedback" control mode, with the help of big data analysis and deep learning algorithms, comprehensively consider multiple factors such as inlet flow, water quality, and water temperature, and realize refined control of dosing, which can more effectively ensure water quality safety and reduce drug consumption.
Rich types of reagents: Commonly used coagulants in water plants include aluminum salts (such as potassium aluminum sulfate, aluminum chloride), iron salts (such as ferric sulfate, ferric chloride), and inorganic polymer flocculants (such as polyaluminum chloride, polyaluminum sulfate). Among them, polymer reagents are increasingly widely used due to their good performance and strong adaptability. In practical applications, appropriate reagents and dosages will be selected according to the water quality characteristics of the raw water, such as pH value, turbidity, organic matter content, etc. For example, when the pH value is low, inorganic polymer electrolytes with low charge and high polymerization degree are more conducive to flocculation.
Equipment operation and maintenance: Dosing equipment mainly includes dissolving tanks, storage tanks, dosing agitators, dosing pumps and metering equipment. The stability and accuracy of these equipment are crucial. However, some water plants have problems with aging equipment and poor metering accuracy, which affects the accuracy of dosing. In terms of maintenance, some water plants lack a complete equipment maintenance plan and professional technicians, resulting in equipment failures that cannot be eliminated in time, increasing operating costs and water quality risks.
The fluctuation of water quality and quantity has a great impact: the water quality and quantity of the source water will fluctuate with factors such as seasons, weather, and surrounding environment. In the rainy season, the turbidity and organic matter content of the raw water may increase significantly; in the high temperature of summer, the reproduction of microorganisms accelerates. These changes have challenged the adaptability of the coagulation and dosing system. If the system cannot respond in time, the effluent quality will not meet the standard.
The level of data monitoring and management varies: some advanced water plants have built a complete water quality monitoring and data management system to conduct real-time monitoring and data analysis of the dosing process, providing a basis for optimizing dosing. However, there are still many water plants with backward data monitoring methods, and data recording and analysis rely on manual work, which is inefficient and prone to errors, and cannot give full play to the effectiveness of the coagulation and dosing system.
Bebur's advanced intelligent dosing system is the core application of Bebur Streaming Current Detecot in the coagulation dosing system. It provides a satisfactory answer for precise control, simple equipment maintenance, rapid response to changes in water quality and quantity, saving chemicals, and 30s rapid feedback.
