Electrochemical (membrane-type amperometric method) principle. The sensor of the BeburBT6308-Pera is a coated amperometric double electrode system. During testing, peracetic acid diffused from the water sample, through the diaphragm, with the help of the electrolyte, generated an electrical signal on the working electrode, which is proportional to the peracetic acid concentration and amplified through the circuit in the sensor. Due to the integration of temperature compensation, the measured signal is independent of the water sample temperature.
