Electrochemical current type total chlorine water quality analyzer in medical applications
The electrochemical current type total chlorine water quality analyzer generates a current signal (the current intensity is proportional to the total chlorine concentration) based on the redox reaction of total chlorine on the electrode surface. It has the characteristics of real-time response, no need to frequently add reagents, and continuous monitoring. It is widely used in scenarios where dynamic monitoring of total chlorine concentration is required.
Medical field: Disinfection effect monitoring
Medical water (such as instrument cleaning water, dialysis water, operating room flushing water) and disinfection environment (such as endoscope disinfectant) have strict requirements on total chlorine concentration, and microbial residues or excessive chlorine concentrations should be avoided to cause equipment corrosion/human irritation.
Application scenarios:
Endoscope disinfection: Chlorine-containing disinfectants (such as sodium hypochlorite) are commonly used for medical endoscope disinfection. The total chlorine concentration needs to be maintained at 2000~5000mg/L (different disinfection processes have different requirements). The analyzer can monitor the concentration of the disinfectant in real time to ensure that it is effective within the disinfection time (such as an alarm when the concentration is lower than the threshold, prompting the replacement of the disinfectant).
Dialysis water: The total chlorine content of hemodialysis water must be ≤0.5mg/L (to prevent chlorine from destroying blood components). The analyzer is installed at the water inlet of the dialysis machine to monitor in real time and link the activated carbon filter to prevent excessive residual chlorine.
Medical wastewater treatment: Hospital wastewater is discharged after chlorine disinfection. The total chlorine must comply with the "Medical Institution Water Pollutant Discharge Standard" (total chlorine at the discharge port ≤0.5mg/L). The analyzer is used for terminal monitoring to avoid excessive discharge.
